K40 1V Brewing System – 48.1L One-Vessel Stainless Brewhouse

One stainless vessel. Mash and boil. Full process control.

The BrewTaurus K40 1V is a 48.1 L single-vessel electric brewing system: mash and boil in one stainless kettle, with 3.5 kW tri-clamp heating and full sanitary tri-clamp routing. Compact footprint, full stainless process architecture — built for controlled small-batch brewing.

Designed operating range

• Nominal vessel capacity: 48.1 L
• Recommended production (into fermenter): 20–35 L
• Maximum practical knockout: 38–40 L
• Flexible batch capability: ~15–40 L (optimised for 20–35 L)

Heating & performance

• 1× 3.5 kW tri-clamp heating element · 1× Inkbird C236T controller (16A EU plug)
• Electrical requirement: one 16A circuit
• Heat-up (30 L, 15→100°C): ≈25–35 min · Boil: stable rolling boil, ~6–8%/h evaporation

Grain load & mash

• Recommended grain bill: 6–10 kg (high-gravity up to ~12 kg)
• Recommended mash thickness: 2.6–3.2 L/kg (don't go below 2.3 L/kg)
• Example: 8 kg × 2.8 L/kg → ~22 L mash volume

Hydraulics, cooling & cleaning

• 1× magnetic pump (R15) for recirculation, whirlpool and transfer
• Laser-cut K40 stainless false bottom for grain separation · stainless elbow + butterfly valves included
• No counterflow chiller by default — 1.5" tri-clamp ports make external chilling easy to add
• Sanitary tri-clamp throughout · pump-assisted recirculation cleaning
