Designed operating range
- Nominal vessel capacity: 46 L (each vessel)
- Recommended production range (into fermenter): 25–40 L
- Maximum practical knockout volume: 42–44 L
- Flexible batch capability: ~20–40 L
Optimized for consistent operation in the 25–40L range.
Smaller batches are fully supported by adjusting heating power and flow control.
System architecture
- HLT (Hot Liquor Tank): dedicated heating vessel
- Mash Tun: laser-cut stainless false bottom (K40 size)
- Boil Kettle: electric heating configuration
- Routing: full 1.5" sanitary tri-clamp manifold
No shared vessel compromises. Each stage runs independently.
Heating performance
- 2 × 3.5 kW tri-clamp heating elements
- Total installed power: 7.0 kW
- 2 × Inkbird C236T (16A EU plug)
Electrical requirement: two independent 16A circuits.
Estimated heat-up (35 L water, 15°C → 100°C):
≈ 20–30 minutes depending on ambient conditions.
Boil performance (30–40 L):
Stable rolling boil. Expected evaporation ~6–8% per hour.
Grain load & mash performance
- Recommended grain bill: 8–14 kg
- High gravity capability: up to ~16 kg
- Recommended mash thickness: 2.6–3.2 L/kg
Example: 12 kg grain × 2.8 L/kg → ~34 L mash volume.
Stable recirculation within this range.
For optimal flow stability, mash thickness below 2.3 L/kg is not recommended.

With 10–15°C groundwater:
Single-pass cooling to 18–22°C achievable at controlled flow rate.
Estimated knockout time (35 L): 6–12 minutes depending on water pressure and delta-T.
Oxygenation & monitoring
- Integrated 1.5" sanitary 4-way cross
- 1.5" small carb stone (oxygenation)
- Thermowells included for temperature monitoring
Inline oxygenation and sanitary temperature control supported via tri-clamp architecture.
Power & installation requirements
- 2 × independent 16A circuits
- Stable water supply
- Load-bearing surface (filled system approx. 120–160 kg total)
