HERMS coil (included)

This is where “hot water tank” turns into a temperature control engine. The included HERMS coil is built for clean, stable heat exchange and easy service.

Port architecture (HLT workflow)

The K40 HLT uses the same kettle platform as the K40 Boil Kettle — the difference is how you configure it. The ports allow you to run a clean HERMS loop and controlled hot water transfer.

• Heating port: 1 × 2" Tri-Clamp (heating element ready)
• Bottom drain / hot water out: 1.5" Tri-Clamp for fast, complete drainage and transfer
• HERMS coil in/out: tri-clamp ports used to connect the HERMS loop cleanly
• Temperature sensing: thermowell integrated via a sanitary TEE at the drain for accurate control during transfer/recirculation

Same K-Series logic: scale up, keep the workflow.

FAQ

Is the HERMS coil included?

Yes. The K40 HLT – CORE includes a removable SS304 HERMS coil with 1.5" Tri-Clamp connections.

Does CORE include a heating element?

No. CORE is the stainless foundation. The 2" heating port is ready, but the element is not included.

Can this kettle be used in other roles?

Yes. The K-Series is modular by design.
This HLT uses the same kettle platform as the Boil Kettle — the function comes from how you configure the ports and accessories.

Do I need a pump for HERMS?

Yes. HERMS requires recirculation. CORE includes the sanitary architecture; your pump choice is intentionally left open.

Is this compatible with larger K-Series systems?

Yes. The same design logic applies across the entire K-Series — from K40 to K200.
