Kettle and malt pipe, nothing else. Your fittings, your build.
The K220 Boil Kettle with Malt Pipe — vessel only — turns one 225 L stainless kettle into a single-vessel electric brewhouse: mash in the malt pipe, lift it, hang it on the rim to drain, sparge, boil. Up to ~57 kg of grain. Add your fittings, elements and a pump — or take the K220 1V system.
Vessel only — no fittings. You get the kettle with its stainless lid and the malt pipe. None of the Tri-Clamp fittings are included — no valves, clamps, gaskets or blind caps; the full list is under “Not in the box” below. Want the fittings too? The K220 Boil Kettle + Malt Pipe — Complete Set comes with all of them.

Malt pipe workflow
- Malt pipe (grain basket): ~165 L to the rim level · laser-cut bottom plus a perforated drainage band at the top · 1.5" TC port on the top ring · two silicone handles.
- Drain position: the pipe hangs on the kettle rim with its bottom at the 200 L line, so the wort drains back while you sparge.
- 26.5 L sits below the malt pipe. It is part of your strike water but sits under the grain bed — count it when you set mash thickness.
- At full grain the malt pipe weighs more than 125 kg even after draining. Hung on the rim to drain, its top sits 1676.5 mm above the floor; to lift it fully out, the pipe bottom has to clear the rim, so plan at least 1.76 m to the top of the pipe (rim + pipe height) plus room for your hands or hoist. A hoist is a must — or choose the K220 2V with a grain door.

FAQ
What does the complete set add?
The K220 Boil Kettle + Malt Pipe — Complete Set adds 1× 1.5" TC elbow · 3× 1.5" TC butterfly valves · 12× 1.5" band clamps + 12× gaskets · 1× 1.5" blind cap · 1× 1.5" thermowell · 2× 1.5" racking / pick-up / whirlpool arms · 2× 2" TC band clamps + 2× gaskets + 2× 2" blind caps. Take the vessel only if you already have Tri-Clamp valves and fittings, or want to pick your own.
How much grain fits in the malt pipe?
About 57 kg. A 12 °P beer at 175 L needs ~39 kg; at maximum grain you reach ~16 °P (OG ~1.065) at 175 L.
How much liquid sits below the malt pipe?
26.5 L. It is part of your strike water but sits under the grain bed, so count it when you set mash thickness.
Do I need a hoist?
At full grain the malt pipe weighs more than 125 kg even after draining.
Can I add a mash tun later?
Yes. The kettle becomes the boil kettle of a K220 2V or K220 3V — nothing gets replaced.
Product photos may show a prototype or a different size; production units follow the manufacturing drawing.
Gravity figures assume 70 % brewhouse efficiency (65 % at maximum grain); your mill, malt and process will move them.
