Herbal, spicy and gently citrus. Uran is a new Czech hop for brewers who love the Saaz tradition but want the aroma turned up a notch.
Alpha approx. 4–7 % · Beta approx. 4–7 % · Boil to dry hop · Herbal, spicy, citrus · T90 pellets · Crop 2025 · 100 g
What it does in your beer
Uran gives a harmonious aroma: herbal and spicy with a light citrus lift. It reads as Czech, but more pronounced than the classic Saaz-type varieties while staying well balanced.
It's one of the newest Czech cultivars, and its breeders present it as a step towards drought-resistant hops with high brewing potential. Use it in Czech and pale lagers, pale ales and saisons — anywhere a traditional Czech hop character should meet a more modern aroma.
