Pineapple and passion fruit first, then peach and a squeeze of grapefruit. Nectaron is seventeen years of New Zealand breeding poured into one very tropical hop.
Alpha 10.5–12 % · Beta 4.5–5 % · Late hop & dry hop · T90 pellets · Crop 2025 · 100 g
What it does in your beer
Expect intense tropical fruit — pineapple, passion fruit and peach — with a grapefruit citrus edge and stone fruit behind. The grower describes it as delivering a consistent dose of tropical hop character.
It is at its best in late additions and the dry hop. Lagers, pale ales, IPAs and NEIPAs are all listed styles, which makes it one of the more flexible fruit bombs on the shelf.

How to use
- Kettle: hold it back for the final (third) addition or the whirlpool.
- Dry hop: the second recommended use.
- Mind the alpha: at 10.5–12 %, 10 g still adds about 3 IBU at 5 minutes and about 6 IBU at 15 minutes in 20 L.
- Leftover pellets: squeeze the pack flat, seal it and chill it.
Pairs well with
Brewing a NEIPA? Start with BESTMALZ BEST Pale Ale plus oat flakes in the grist, and pitch Lallemand New England.
Brewing a hoppy lager? Build it on Czech Pilsner Malt.
Storage & shelf life
- Store it sealed and cold, away from light and moisture.
