Real output. Real stainless. No proprietary architecture.
The BrewTaurus K220 2V is a 225 L two-vessel stainless brewing system: separate mash and boil vessels, 7 kW heating, dual MP40 pump hydraulics and a counterflow chiller. A modular stainless platform for serious-volume brewing — not an automated brewhouse, not plug-and-play, but a system you control end to end.
Made to order (pre-order). We build in monthly production batches — contact us for the current lead time before ordering.
Designed operating range
- Nominal kettle capacity: 225 L · recommended batch (into fermenter): 150–190 L
- Max practical knockout: 195–205 L · minimum efficient batch: ~100–110 L
- Designed to operate in the 150–190 L range
Heating, grain & mash
- 2× 3.5 kW tri-clamp elements (7 kW total) · 2× Inkbird C236T (16A EU plug) · two independent 16A circuits
- Heat-up (170 L, 15→100°C): ≈55–70 min · rolling boil at 180 L, ~6–8%/h evaporation
- Grain capacity: 50–72 kg (max ~75 kg with careful recirc) · mash thickness 2.5–3.2 L/kg
- Example: 60 kg × 2.8 L/kg → ~168 L mash
Hydraulics, cooling & cleaning
- 2× MP40 65W pumps (continuous-duty) — simultaneous mash recirc + sparge, whirlpool + transfer prep, CIP recirculation without reconfiguring hardware
- Stainless manifold routing · 11× tri-clamp quick-connects · full sanitary 1.5" TC architecture
- Counterflow wort chiller (single-pass), designed for 150–190 L — single-pass to 18–22°C at 10–15°C groundwater; ~18–28 min knockout (180 L)
- CIP head via 1.5" lid port · no welded dead-end cavities · all components serviceable
Brewhouse-efficiency example
Target 12°P Pale Ale (~1.048 OG), 180 L into fermenter → ~22.6 kg extract needed. Base malt potential ~80% (dry). Implied efficiency: 38 kg → ~74%, 40 kg → ~71%, 42 kg → ~67%. For planning assume ~70%.
Installation: two independent 16A circuits, stable water supply for the chiller, flat load-bearing floor (filled system ≈300–360 kg). Standalone Inkbird control keeps failure points low; a centralised control panel is in development and will integrate without replacing vessels.

1V vs 2V vs 3V — which K220 configuration
Same K220 vessel volume, three workflows. One-vessel is the simplest footprint; two- and three-vessel add dedicated mash/boil (and HLT) for parallel steps and faster brew days. Your configuration is highlighted.
| Config | Vessels | Working batch | Heating | Pumps | Chiller |
| K220 1V | 1 (mash+boil) | 60–195 L | 7 kW | 1× MP40 | Optional |
| K220 2V | 2 (mash, boil) | 150–190 L | 7 kW | 2× MP40 | Counterflow |
| K220 3V | 3 (HLT, mash, boil) | 60–200 L | 14 kW | 2× MP40 | Counterflow |
