Lemon, orange and flowers on a woody, piney frame. Centennial is the one they call super-Cascade: the same citrus-floral idea with nearly twice the alpha, so it bitters as well as it smells.
Alpha 9.5–11.5 % · Beta 3.5–4.5 % · Bittering, late & dry hop · T90 pellets · Crop 2025 · 100 g
What it does in your beer
Expect floral, citrus aroma with a balanced bitterness. Variety data lists lemon, orange, floral, tropical and woody notes, and other variety data adds pine and a hint of raspberry.
It's a dual-purpose workhorse for pale ales and IPAs, and variety data also points it at American stouts, American wheat beers and barley wines.

- Second and third additions: flavour and aroma.
- Dry hop: recommended for the full citrus-floral effect.
Swap it for
Out of Centennial? Variety data lists Admiral, Citra®, Mosaic® and Simcoe as similar. Citra®, Mosaic® and Simcoe are all in our range.
Pairs well with
Brewing a West Coast IPA? Bitter with Columbus, finish with Centennial and Cascade, and keep the base simple: Crisp Extra Pale Ale malt and SafAle US-05.
