The system you buy when AIO stops making sense.
46 L modular stainless mash tun with grain door + full tri-clamp architecture.
The BrewTaurus K40 Mash Tun is not a feature.
It’s the heart of a real brewhouse workflow.
Built from stainless steel.
Designed around tri-clamp architecture.
Made to grow into a brewhouse — not to be replaced.

What this mash tun actually is
The K40 Mash Tun is a 46 L modular stainless mash vessel built for brewers who want real process control, predictable lautering and a system that scales without redesign.
No integrated electronics.
No proprietary internals.
Just brewhouse logic.
Mash. Recirculate. Sparge. Lauter.
Same workflow now — same workflow later.
This is for you if
- You’ve outgrown all-in-one systems
- You want a proper mash workflow with real access and cleaning
- You plan to upgrade, not replace
- You care about sanitation, serviceability and long-term compatibility
If you’re looking for shortcuts, this isn’t it.
Stainless-first brewing
No plastic paths.
No hidden electronics.
No dead ends.
Just stainless steel, sanitary connections, and a system that scales with you.
Why K-Series
Architecture scales. Your workflow doesn’t change.
- Full tri-clamp architecture across all K-Series sizes
- Dish bottom with central bottom drain for complete drainage
- Port layout designed for mash workflows (recirculation + return)
- Identical logic whether you brew 40 L or 200 L
Every port has a job. No decoration.
Grain door (built for real brewing)
This is the difference between “a kettle you mash in” and a mash tun you can actually work with.
- 150 × 250 mm grain door with integrated gasket
- 2 × butterfly clamps for secure closure
- Hinged door for quick access, fully removable when you want full-open cleaning
- Grain chute included for clean, controlled grain handling
Port architecture (overview)
The K40 Mash Tun is built around a clean, functional port layout. No decoration. No confusion.
- Bottom drain / mash outlet: 1.5" Tri-Clamp, centered for complete drainage and wort draw-off
- Recirculation return: 1 × 1.5" Tri-Clamp (upper front) for clean recirculation flow
The same design logic is used across the entire K-Series, so scaling never breaks your process.

FAQ
Is this mash tun designed for direct heating?
No.
By design, the K40 Mash Tun has no heating port. It’s built for infusion mash, HERMS or RIMS workflows.
What makes this different from mashing in a basic kettle?
Access and control.
A real grain door, a proper false bottom, sanitary ports and a layout designed for recirculation and lautering.
Is the grain door easy to clean?
Yes.
It’s hinged for fast access and can also be fully removed when you want full-open cleaning. The door includes a gasket for a proper seal.
Does CORE include pumps or controllers?
No.
CORE is stainless-first: mash tun + sanitary architecture. Add your pump/control stack when you’re ready.
Is it compatible with larger BrewTaurus systems?
Yes.
The same design logic applies across the entire K-Series — from K40 to K200.
This is not a mash pot.
This is a brewhouse.
