Designed operating range

  • Nominal kettle capacity: 86.5 L (each vessel)
  • Recommended production range (into fermenter): 55–75 L
  • Maximum practical knockout volume: 78–80 L
  • Flexible batch capability: 35–75 L

Designed for optimal performance in the 60–75L range.
Smaller batches are fully supported by adjusting heating power and pump flow control.


System architecture

  • HLT (Hot Liquor Tank): dedicated heating vessel
  • Mash Tun: laser-cut stainless false bottom (K80 size)
  • Boil Kettle: dual-element heating configuration
  • Architecture: full 1.5" sanitary tri-clamp routing

No shared vessel compromises. Each stage runs independently.


Heating performance

  • 2 × 3.5 kW heating elements (HLT)
  • 2 × 2.2 kW heating elements (Boil)
  • Total installed power: 11.4 kW
  • 4 × Inkbird C236T (16A EU plug)

Electrical requirement: four independent 16A circuits.

Estimated heat-up (70 L water, 15°C → 100°C):
≈ 25–35 minutes depending on ambient conditions.

Boil performance (65–75 L):
Stable rolling boil. Expected evaporation ~6–8% per hour.


Grain load & mash performance

  • Recommended grain bill: 18–25 kg
  • High gravity capability: up to ~28 kg
  • Recommended mash thickness: 2.6–3.2 L/kg

Example: 22 kg grain × 2.8 L/kg → ~62 L mash volume.
Stable recirculation is achievable using dual MP40 pumps within this range.

For optimal flow stability, mash thickness below 2.3 L/kg is not recommended.


Hydraulics & flow

  • 2 × MP40 65W pumps (continuous duty)

System is CIP-capable when fitted with a spray head via standard tri-clamp ports.


Cooling performance

  • Counterflow wort chiller (single-pass)
  • Optimized for 55–75 L knockout volumes

With 10–15°C groundwater:
Single-pass cooling to 18–22°C achievable at controlled flow rate.

Estimated knockout time (70 L): 10–18 minutes depending on water pressure and delta-T.


Oxygenation & monitoring

  • Integrated 1.5" 4-way cross
  • 1.5" small carb stone (oxygenation)
  • Thermowell for temperature probe

Oxygenate inline during knockout and monitor temperature without improvised fittings.


Power & installation requirements

  • 4 × independent 16A circuits
  • Stable water supply
  • Load-bearing floor (filled system approx. 200–250 kg total)

Ensure proper electrical preparation and structural support.
