Port architecture (HLT workflow)

The K220 HLT uses the same platform as the K220 Boil Kettle — function is defined by how the ports are configured.

• Bottom drain / hot water out: 1.5" Tri-Clamp for fast transfer and complete drainage
• HERMS coil in / out: tri-clamp ports for clean, serviceable HERMS loop
• Temperature sensing: thermowell integrated via sanitary TEE at the drain

FAQ

Is the HERMS coil included?

Yes. The K220 HLT – CORE includes a removable SS304 HERMS coil with 1.5" Tri-Clamp connections.

Does CORE include heating elements?

No. CORE is the stainless foundation. Heating elements are selected separately based on your power infrastructure.

Can this kettle be used in other roles?

Yes. The K-Series is modular by design. The same kettle platform can serve as HLT, Boil Kettle or system component depending on configuration.

Is this compatible with the rest of the K-Series?

Yes. The same design logic applies across the entire K-Series — from K40 to K220.
