Icemaster G20 – Dual-Zone Glycol Chiller for Home and Small-Batch Brewers

The Icemaster G20 from Kegland is a compact, powerful glycol chiller designed specifically for homebrewers and small craft brewers. With 500W of cooling power, dual integrated pumps, and independent temperature control for two fermenters, it's the ideal solution for precision fermentation — even in warmer climates.

Whether you're controlling ale fermentation, lagering at low temps, or crash cooling before packaging, the G20 brings commercial-style capability into your brewery space — at a fraction of the size and price.

✅ Why Brewers Choose the G20

  • Powerful Cooling – 500W cooling capacity (measured at 22 °C ambient) allows the unit to cold crash up to 100–130 L or control fermentation in tanks up to 300 L if well insulated.
  • Dual Integrated Pumps – Includes two pre-wired circulation pumps (5m head height, 600 L/h flow each) and separate temperature controllers for independent chilling of two fermenters.
  • 16L Insulated Glycol Tank – Keeps thermal buffer stable even under load.
  • Energy Efficient – Consumes just 155W of electricity while delivering serious chilling power.
  • Compact & Quiet – Easy to install in any home brewery or fermentation room with minimal noise output.
  • Glycol Ready – Designed to run at low temps (down to -4 °C) with a 20–30% glycol-water mix.

❄️ Real-World Performance

The G20’s capacity depends on fermenter size, insulation, ambient conditions, and your target temperature. Here's what you can realistically expect:

Fermentation Control

  • Ales (18–22 °C): Up to 300 L total volume (e.g., 2 × 120 L fermenters), if well insulated and ambient temp stays below 25 °C.
  • Lagers (8–12 °C): Best used with up to 200  L, depending on insulation and room temp.

Cold Crashing (0–4 °C)

  • Recommended for 1 fermenter of 100–130 L, insulated.
  • Crash cooling from ~20 °C to near 0 °C takes 24–36 hours under normal conditions.
  • Not suited for crash cooling two fermenters at once.

High Ambient Temperatures

  • Performs well even in warmer rooms — insulation is essential.
  • Far more reliable and energy-efficient than compressor-less chillers.
