Designed operating range

  • Nominal vessel capacity: 86.5 L
  • Recommended production range (into fermenter): 45–70 L
  • Maximum practical knockout volume: 75–78 L
  • Flexible batch capability: ~30–78 L

Optimized for stable operation in the 50–70L range.
Smaller batches are fully supported by adjusting heating power and flow control.


System architecture

  • Single vessel design: mash and boil in one kettle
  • Laser-cut false bottom: K80 size
  • Heating configuration: 1 × 2.2 kW + 1 × 3.5 kW tri-clamp elements
  • Total installed power: 5.7 kW
  • Routing: full 1.5" sanitary tri-clamp ports

The K80 1V keeps the workflow simple while maintaining full stainless process architecture.


Heating performance

  • 1 × 2.2 kW tri-clamp heating element
  • 1 × 3.5 kW tri-clamp heating element
  • 2 × Inkbird C236T (16A EU plug)

Electrical requirement: two independent 16A circuits.

Estimated heat-up (60 L water, 15°C → 100°C):
≈ 30–40 minutes depending on ambient conditions.

Boil performance (60–70 L):
Stable rolling boil. Expected evaporation ~6–8% per hour (environment dependent).


Grain load & mash performance

  • Recommended grain bill: 12–22 kg
  • High gravity capability: up to ~25 kg
  • Recommended mash thickness: 2.6–3.2 L/kg

Example: 18 kg grain × 2.8 L/kg → ~50 L mash volume.
Stable recirculation supported by the MP40 pump within this operating range.

For optimal flow stability, mash thickness below 2.3 L/kg is not recommended.


Hydraulics & flow

  • 1 × MP40 65W pump (continuous duty capable)
  • Full 1.5" tri-clamp architecture
  • Stainless elbow and butterfly valves included
  • False bottom for grain separation

The MP40 provides stable mash recirculation and strong whirlpool performance.
Designed for reliable transfer and process flow without instability.


Cooling

This configuration does not include a counterflow chiller by default.
Standard 1.5" tri-clamp routing allows easy integration of external chilling solutions.


Cleaning

All ports are sanitary tri-clamp.
System supports pump-assisted recirculation cleaning.
CIP-capable when fitted with a spray head.


Power & installation requirements

  • 2 × independent 16A circuits
  • Stable water supply (if external chiller used)
  • Load-bearing surface (filled system approx. 100–125 kg)
