Pine resin, spice and grapefruit peel, with a bite. Chinook was bred as a high-alpha bittering hop, and brewers kept it for the piney, spicy aroma it gives on top.

Alpha 11–14 % · Beta 3–4 % · Bittering & dry hop · T90 pellets · Crop 2025 · 100 g

What it does in your beer

Our product data describes a spicy-to-piney aroma. Variety data adds grapefruit, berry, stone fruit and tropical notes, plus a herbal, almost smoky edge.

With 11–14 % alpha it sets bitterness efficiently in American pale ales and IPAs, and variety data also lists porters and stouts.
