A motor-driven rake in the mash/lauter tun — no more paddling 100 kg of grist by hand.
The rake drive mounts on the mash tun lid and stirs the mash during mash-in and temperature steps, then loosens the bed for lautering and pushes spent grain to the side door. Standard on the two-vessel BH2 series; an option on the three-vessel BH series.
When to choose it
- Batches of 200 L and up, or brewing every day — mash-in by hand at this size is heavy work
- Step mashes and decoctions — even temperature across the bed
- Faster grain-out at the end of the brew day
Specification
- Gear motor 0.37 kW on brewhouses up to 250 L · 0.75 kW on the 300 L and 400 L
Ordering
- Factory-fitted option — ordered together with the BH-series brewhouse, built into it during production
- Cannot be retrofitted by us after delivery
- Lead time: same as the vessel it is fitted to
